Cap

I’m very proud of this cap. I like the stitch but I don’t know how it is called. It looks braided. But I still have to add earflapps and a cord, so it won’t get lost.

My Very First

My very first crochet project was - I’m sure you already guessed it - a Poncho. For practical reasons, it was one in baby size. The classic granny square pattern is just great for beginners. I found a pattern for a similar adult poncho at hipvintagecrochet.com in the freely, as pdf file downloadable, magazin “Learn to Crochet”. This little publication also covers all general techniques and stitches besides many patterns for wearables and acessoires. By the way, did I mention, that I collect patterns from the 60’s and 70’s?
Anyway, this poncho is almost one yeare old now and it still fits his little owner. Sorry for the blurry pictures.

Outfit Desperately Seeking Hat

Missing: Crocheted helmet hat. Color: mainly green, with some yellow, red and blue and black border. German size 50. Belongs to a jacket made mainly after this pattern and a scarf. Lost in Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg, before we could take pictures of it.
